Working under the direction of the the Cleaning Manager to provide an efficient service of cleanliness, ensuring that all assigned areas are cleaned to the standard required within set procedures in order to ensure a clean and safe learning environment for our students.

Surrenden Pool, which sits on the same campus as Dorothy Stringer School, is managed as a partnership between the school and Brighton & Hove City Council.  The council maintain the infrastructure of the pool, and the school manage its day to day activities.

We seek to appoint a Lifeguard to join our team, specifically to cover the following shifts:

Tuesdays 8.45am-12.15pm

Wednesdays 1.45pm-2.45pm

Wednesdays 7.30pm – 8:30pm

Fridays 7.20am-8:40am

More shifts may become available throughout the year.  This position provides an excellent opportunity for the chosen candidate to join our recently refurbished pool by the Local Authority.

The successful candidates will need to hold a NPLQ qualification, as well as having a good understanding of swimming pool compliance and the associated Health & Safety rigour.  Have the ability to work in partnerships within and beyond the school, and the passion to ensure the successful running of the pool.

An enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant is required to join our busy Catering Team. The main purpose of the role is to assist the Cook/Catering Manager in the preparation and serving of food and undertaking duties of the kitchen and dining areas in accordance with agreed schedules/rotas of work.
