Hours: 37 hours per week – Monday-Thursday 10am to 6pm, Friday 10am – 5.30pm (includes a 30 minute unpaid break)

Dorothy Stringer School requires an Assistant Caretaker to join our friendly and efficient team. Working under the direction of the Facilities Manager and Cleaning Manager, you will help provide an efficient service of cleanliness, maintenance and security across the school site.

During term time, the role will primarily involve supervising and maintaining the school’s toilet facilities, ensuring they are clean, well-presented, safe and appropriately stocked throughout the school day. This person will also be required to monitor the student toilets during break and lunch time. You will also support the wider site team with general cleaning, maintenance and caretaking duties as required, helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming learning environment for our students. During school holidays, the role will focus more broadly on caretaker duties, including general site maintenance, cleaning, security and preparing the school site for the return of students and staff.

The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining high standards and will be a reliable, practical and proactive member of our site team.
