Hours: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 37 Hours/week. Monday – Thursday 8am – 4pm & Friday: 8am – 3.30pm
(The above hours include a 30-minute unpaid break)

Salary: Scale 4b, Point 11-12 (£29,071 – £29,542)

A full-time caretaker is required to work proactively under the direction of the Site Manager, ensuring the upkeep of a high standard of cleanliness, maintenance & security to the school, to ensure a clean and safe learning environment for the students.

Swimming Pool Lifeguard required for Surrenden Pool – Term Time only, Fixed Term Contract until 18 December 2026 (plus additional hours maybe available)
Hours: Part time, term time only, Tuesdays 7pm – 8pm and Wednesdays 7.30pm – 8:30pm

Surrenden Pool, which sits on the same campus as Dorothy Stringer School, is managed as a partnership between the school and Brighton & Hove City Council. The council maintain the infrastructure of the pool, and the school manage its day to day activities.
More shifts may become available. This position provides an excellent opportunity for the chosen candidate to join our recently refurbished pool by the Local Authority.
The successful candidates will need to hold a NPLQ qualification, as well as having a good understanding of swimming pool compliance and the associated Health & Safety rigour. Have the ability to work in partnerships within and beyond the school, and the passion to ensure the successful running of the pool.
