At Dorothy Stringer School, educational visits and trips play a valuable role in enriching and enhancing the curriculum across a wide range of subjects. During term time, our trips have curriculum links and are designed to support students’ learning beyond the classroom. During school holidays, staff also offer a variety of curriculum-based and enrichment opportunities, alongside leisure and cultural visits.

We believe that educational visits provide students with experiences that build confidence and independence and create memorable learning opportunities. Trips also allow students to develop positive relationships with both their peers and staff in a different environment, helping to strengthen belonging in our school community.

To help parents and carers make informed decisions about the opportunities available to their child, we provide an overview of the trips currently planned throughout the academic year below. Please note that trips may be subject to change, and additional opportunities may be added as the year progresses. The list does not include our Enrichment Week offer.
