News

We send a Weekly News Update to all our parents and carers each Friday, with highlights and news from the week in school.

You can also follow us on Instagram to keep up with recent school events and news – @dorothystringerschool.

Additionally, at the end of each term we publish The Stringer Press, our news publication that celebrates some of the many events, student successes and departmental news that have taken place over the course of the term. Scroll down to view our most recent edition.

Year 9 students will receive confirmation of their Key Stage 4 option subjects next week. We are delighted to share that every student who submitted their preferences by the deadline has been allocated their first-choice subjects, with the exception of just one student who is happy with their alternative choice.

This is a fantastic outcome and reflects the care taken to match students’ interests with our broad and balanced curriculum. We hope this news inspires our Year 9s as they look ahead to the exciting opportunities of upper school. Their chosen subjects will not only support their individual interests and aspirations, but also help to prepare them for life beyond Dorothy Stringer.
