The Dorothy Stringer School Fund is dedicated to enhancing the educational experience of every student at our school. We are incredibly proud of the diverse range of extra-curricular activities we offer, from sports and arts to academic clubs and community service projects. These enriching opportunities are only possible thanks to the time and support our staff provide without charge.

However, there are essential costs associated with these activities that are not covered by our statutory funding. This is where the School Fund plays a crucial role. By contributing to the fund, you help ensure that all students can benefit from these valuable experiences, regardless of financial background.

Additionally, the School Fund provides vital support to families facing financial difficulties, helping them to manage the many and varied costs of school life. Your generous donations enable us to continue offering this enriched support and maintain our commitment to inclusivity and excellence for all.

Lunchtime Provision Fundraiser

We are delighted to share that we have now hit our fundraising target for our new benches around the school site! Thanks to various fundraising efforts throughout the year and our summer term raffle, we are now looking forward to getting the benches in place over the summer holidays and creating more spaces for our students to socialise during break and lunch times.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported our fundraising efforts over the past year and an even bigger thank you to our raffle donors who provided an incredible range of prizes. 

We look forward to updating our school community on the arrival of our benches next term, and we will be continuing our fundraising efforts next year via our Stringer Fund, supporting disadvantaged students in enriching opportunities.

Other fundraising initiatives

Help us to collect donations for the school whenever you shop online through Easyfundraising. The Dorothy Stringer School Fund, our registered charity, will receive a donation from the retailers to support opportunities for students that fall outside the school budget.  

This year as a school our ongoing campaign with EasyFundraising is focussed on raising money for a replacement school minibus.
