Ofsted and Challenge Partners
We are pleased to inform you that Stringer has maintained its status as a ‘Good’ school. Thank you to all our students, staff, governors and all the parents and carers who participated in the Parent View survey, we are grateful for your continued support.
Key highlights from our latest Ofsted report:
We are delighted that the Ofsted inspectors’ report notes that staff are ‘ambitious for all pupils’ and ‘dedicated to inclusivity’ and that safeguarding is effective and pupils ‘feel cared for and safe at school’.
‘Incidents of bullying are dealt with sensitively and effectively by adults who know their pupils well.’
We are also very pleased that the report recognises our ‘ambitious and wide-ranging’ curriculum, and that ‘in many subjects, the curriculum takes pupils beyond the ambition of the national curriculum’.
In terms of our extra-curricular provision, Ofsted say ‘opportunities for all pupils to extend their learning outside their curriculum subjects are extensive. The before-school sports clubs bustle with pupils keen to participate. In addition to sports clubs, a range of activities is available, providing something for everyone.’

‘Strong, warm relationships between staff and pupils create a very positive, calm and purposeful environment. Pupils value the support that adults give’ and ‘feel that the teachers know them’.
‘They recognise their teachers’ enthusiasm. One said, ‘You can tell they are all passionate about their subjects’. Another pupil shared that ‘It is almost impossible not to learn’. ‘
‘As a result of this harmonious approach, pupils readily engage in learning and in the broad range of extra-curricular opportunities that includes creative, academic and sporting activities.’
‘Staff often go over and above to provide pupils with additional experience and opportunities.’
‘The school’s ambitious curriculum is reflected by the fact that nearly double the national average of pupils sit the EBacc.’
