We are very proud of the extensive extra-curricular provision offered at Dorothy Stringer. These activities provide students with further opportunities to develop respect, resilience and creativity whilst having fun and making friends.

Reminder - Prom tickets are available for purchase! We are looking forward to celebrating this milestone with our Year 11 students.
Prom is a special reward event, organised and supervised by staff volunteers, and we are excited to see students enjoy this opportunity as they approach the end of their time with us.
Tickets can be purchased via the SchoolGateway by 22 May 2026. Emails have been sent to parents and carers with further information.

Our Groundforce team have kicked off the new term by fitting a bee observation hive next to our pond. Thank you to South Downs National Park for providing a grant for this 🐝
The Groundforce team have also been tending to our rainbow chard which is still going strong in our school planters!

Welcome back! We hope everyone has settled in well for the start of the summer term. Art Club have jumped straight back in and are busy getting ready for the Children’s Parade on Saturday 2 May 🎨 ☀️

School is now closed for the Easter holidays. We hope you all have a wonderful break and we look forward to seeing students and staff when school reopens on Monday 13 April. We will be on Week 2 of the timetable.
In the meantime, we are pleased to present the Spring Term edition of the Stringer Press. It’s been a short term but we’ve managed to pack lots in, including the incredible Dance Show and our fantastic Back to the 70s concerts! Well done to our Year 11 netballers who took on our staff for their final fixture at Dorothy Stringer! An excellent effort from everyone 👏

A huge well done to everyone who took part in our Back to the 70s concert last night!
We’re excited to do it all over again today for our matinée performances to local primary schools, and for a final time tonight to a SOLD OUT audience 🕺🎶

On Wednesday 25th March, we competed in the Young Speakers Challenge final against every school in Brighton – in front of a huge audience. Our team was represented by Luke, who gave a fantastic performance of his speech ‘In Our World’, and the rest of the team gave him a wonderful introduction.
